Research

For over a hundred years, research at the University has played a major part in the success of the city, the region and the world.


We attract £85 million of funding per year and belong to the Russell Group, an association of 20 major research-led universities with a commitment to maintain the highest standards of research, education and knowledge transfer.

Research Assessment Exercise (RAE)
